The S2A is a standard recovery rectifier diode from On Semiconductor, rated for a maximum average forward current of 2 A and a maximum reverse voltage of 50 V. It features a low forward voltage drop of less than 1.15 V at 2 A, ensuring efficient rectification in low-voltage applications. With a standard reverse recovery time of 1500 ns, this diode is suitable for 50/60 Hz mains rectification and general-purpose power supply circuits.
The device is housed in a surface mount DO-214AA (SMB) package, with a case material rated UL 94V-0 and a solder temperature capability of 260°C for 10 seconds. It supports an operating junction temperature range of -50°C to 150°C. The S2A is RoHS compliant (exemption 7a), REACH compliant, and conflict minerals compliant, making it suitable for commercial and industrial-grade applications.
