The S1GB-13 is a 1.0A surface mount glass passivated rectifier diode from Diodes Incorporated. It features a peak repetitive reverse voltage (VRRM) of 400V and an average rectified forward current (IO) of 1.0A. This standard recovery diode has a maximum forward voltage (VFM) of 1.1V at 1A and a reverse recovery time (trr) of 3µs.
The device is housed in an industry-standard DO-214AA (SMB) package, suitable for automated assembly. It offers a non-repetitive peak forward surge current (IFSM) rating of 30A for one half-cycle. The junction capacitance is typically 10pF at 4V. The operating junction and storage temperature range is -65°C to +150°C, with a typical thermal resistance of 30°C/W from junction to terminal.
The S1GB-13 is built with glass passivated die construction for high reliability. The molded plastic case meets UL 94V-0 flammability classification and is moisture sensitivity level 1 per J-STD-020. Terminals have a lead-free matte tin finish. The component is RoHS compliant, halogen and antimony free ("Green" device).
Typical applications include low frequency rectification, polarity protection, and freewheeling diodes in power supply and general-purpose circuits. The standard recovery characteristic (>500ns) makes it suitable for line-frequency operation.
