The RS0108YQ20 from Runic Technology is an 8-bit non-inverting, bidirectional voltage-level translator. It facilitates digital switching compatibility between mixed-voltage systems by utilizing two separate configurable power-supply rails. The A ports support operating voltages from 1.65V to 5.5V, tracking the VCCA supply, while the B ports support operating voltages from 2.3V to 5.5V, tracking the VCCB supply. This allows for translation between various logic signal levels, including 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V nodes.
This translator supports data rates of up to 24Mbps for push-pull applications and 2Mbps for open-drain applications. It features VCC isolation, meaning if either VCC is at GND, both ports enter a high-impedance state. The device also supports partial power-down mode operation via the IOFF feature and does not require specific power-supply sequencing. The output-enable (OE) input, when low, places all I/Os in a high-impedance state, reducing quiescent current consumption.
The RS0108YQ20 is available in a 20-TSSOP package with surface mount mounting type. It operates reliably within an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
