The Recom Power RPA60-2405SFW/P is a high-performance isolated DC/DC converter from the RPA60-FW series, designed to deliver a stable 5V output at up to 12A (60W) from a wide 4:1 input voltage range of 9-36VDC. This single-output module achieves a typical efficiency of 92.4% at nominal input and full load, minimizing power loss and thermal stress in space-constrained designs.
Housed in an industry-standard 6-DIP through-hole package measuring 50.8mm x 25.4mm x 10.2mm (2" x 1" x 0.4"), the converter provides 1500VDC input-to-output isolation for one minute. It includes comprehensive protection features: overcurrent (OCP), overvoltage (OVP), overtemperature (OTP), short-circuit (SCP), and under-voltage lockout (UVLO). The positive logic remote on/off control (CTRL pin, active high) enables external power sequencing.
This converter is suitable for railway (EN50155 certified) and industrial (ITE) applications where board space is at a premium. It operates over a -40°C to +105°C case temperature range with derating and can drive capacitive loads up to 20000µF. The internal LC input filter helps reduce conducted noise.
