RK3188

The Rockchip RK3188 is a highly integrated processor designed for mobile and multimedia applications. It features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore processor, offering a balance of high performance and low power consumption. This processor architecture includes ARM Neon Advanced SIMD for accelerated media and signal processing, along with a 512KB unified L2 cache and Trustzone technology support.

Graphics capabilities are handled by the ARM Mali-T400 MP4 GPU, which supports OpenGL ES1.1 and 2.0, and OpenVG1.1, featuring 4 shader cores with hierarchical tiler. The RK3188 supports various memory interfaces including DDR3/LPDDR2 up to 1066Mbps, ASRAM/Nor Flash, Nand Flash with up to 60-bit ECC, and eMMC 4.41.

For multimedia processing, the RK3188 includes real-time video decoding for numerous codecs like H.264 up to 1080p@60fps, and video encoding for H.264, MVC, and VP8. It also supports JPEG codec for both decoding and encoding. Display capabilities include two independent controllers supporting LCD or TFT interfaces up to 2048x1536, with various parallel RGB, serial RGB, and MCU LCD interfaces. Camera interface support extends up to 5M pixels via BT656/BT601.

System components include multiple timers, PWMs, and a watchdog timer. Audio is supported through I2S/PCM interfaces with sample rates up to 192KHz and SPDIF output.
