The RHRP30120 is a hyperfast rectifier diode from On Semiconductor, designed for high-efficiency power switching applications. Rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 1200V and an average forward current of 30A, it offers a low forward voltage drop of 3.2V at 25°C and 30A, and 2.6V at 150°C. Its hyperfast recovery time of 85 ns (typical at 30A) minimizes switching losses and reduces noise in power circuits.
This diode features soft recovery characteristics, which help to reduce ringing and electromagnetic interference. It is capable of handling high surge currents up to 300A non-repetitive and offers an avalanche energy rating of 30 mJ. The device is housed in a through-hole TO-220AC package (TO-220-2), ensuring easy mounting on PCBs. The operating junction temperature range extends from -65°C to 175°C, making it suitable for demanding environments.
