The RHRG30120 is a hyperfast power rectifier diode manufactured by onsemi (formerly ON Semiconductor). It is rated for a maximum reverse voltage of 1200V and an average rectified forward current of 30A at a case temperature of 80°C. The diode employs an epitaxial planar construction with silicon nitride passivation, delivering hyperfast switching with reverse recovery times as low as 65ns at 1A, and 85ns at 30A with a diF/dt of 100A/µs.
This device is designed for power switching applications including switching power supplies and power switching circuits. Its soft recovery characteristic minimizes ringing and electrical noise, reducing power loss in switching transistors. The diode also features avalanche energy rating of 30mJ and can withstand nonrepetitive peak surge currents up to 300A.
Packaged in a through-hole TO-247-2 (2-lead) package, the RHRG30120 has an operating temperature range of -65°C to 175°C and a maximum power dissipation of 125W at 25°C. The device is Pb-Free and RoHS compliant.
