The Skyworks Solutions RFX8425 is a single-chip/single-die RFeIC (RF front-end integrated circuit) designed for high-performance RF front-end implementation in the 2.4 GHz band for WLAN IEEE 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth applications. It integrates a high-efficiency, high-linearity power amplifier (PA), a directional coupler-based power detector, a low-noise amplifier (LNA), and an SP3T switch for Bluetooth antenna sharing.
This device supports both Bluetooth and WLAN functionalities, operating within the 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz frequency range. The RFX8425 is assembled in an ultra-compact, low-profile 16-lead QFN package measuring 2.3 x 2.3 x 0.45 mm. It features simple, low-voltage CMOS control logic and requires minimal external components, making it suitable for portable platforms, smartphones, feature phones, and MIDs with integrated WiFi and Bluetooth.
