The Qorvo RFPA5542 is a three-stage power amplifier (PA) module engineered for 802.11a/n/ac applications. This device operates across a frequency range of 4.9 GHz to 5.925 GHz, offering a P1dB of 23 dBm and a gain of 33 dB. Its integrated input and output 50Ω match significantly reduces layout area, bill of materials, and manufacturing costs.
Manufactured on an advanced InGaP heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) process, the RFPA5542 is optimized to minimize external components while maintaining linear performance. It is capable of achieving linear powers up to 23dBm with an EVM less than 1.8%, all while maintaining excellent power-added efficiency. The device is supplied in a 4.0mm x 4.0mm x 0.90mm QFN package, meeting or exceeding the power requirements for IEEE802.11a/n/ac WiFi RF systems.
