The ELNA RE3-16V470M is a miniature aluminum electrolytic capacitor from the RE3 series, designed for through-hole mounting. It offers a capacitance of 470µF with a tolerance of ±20% at 120Hz and 20°C.
This capacitor is rated for a working voltage of 16V and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The endurance is guaranteed for 2000 hours at 85°C. Leakage current is specified as less than 0.03CV or 4µA (whichever is larger) after one minute for CV ≤ 1000, and less than 0.1CV + 40µA after one minute for CV > 1000.
The tangent of the loss angle (tan δ) is a maximum of 0.24 at 20°C and 120Hz for higher voltage ratings, with specific values varying by voltage. This series is noted as being one size smaller than the RE2 Series.
Applicable standards include JIS C 5101-1, 5101-4 1998 and IEC 60384-1 1992, 60384-4 1985.
