This is a machined crimp socket contact from Souriau-Sunbank by Eaton, part of the RC/RM series designed for railway connectors. It is size 16 (Ø1.6 mm) and accepts 24-26 AWG wire.
Electrical characteristics: maximum current rating of 15A per NFF61030, contact resistance ≤3 mΩ. Mechanical: insertion force 3.5 N max, withdrawal force 0.55 N min, contact retention 110 N min.
The contact body is made of high conductive copper alloy with gold plating (min 0.41 µm). Termination is crimp style. Suitable for automatic crimping and available in bulk packaging of 50 pieces.
This contact is qualified for railway applications and can be used in UTS, UTO, VGE1, and 838 connectors. The locking spring ensures good contact retention.
