The RC16M23K is a #16 machined crimp socket contact manufactured by Souriau-Sunbank by Eaton. Constructed from high-conductive copper alloy with a gold plating thickness of 0.41 µm, it is designed for reliable electrical connections in demanding environments.
This contact supports wire gauges from 16 to 20 AWG and is rated for a maximum current of 15 A per NFF61030 railway standard. Contact resistance is specified at ≤3 MΩ, and the contact retention force in the housing is a minimum of 110 N. Individual insertion force is 3.5 N maximum, and withdrawal force is 0.55 N minimum.
Qualified for railway applications, the RC16M23K is compatible with UTS, UTO, VGE1, and 838 series connectors. The crimp termination ensures secure wire attachment, and the gold plating provides low and stable contact resistance. Suitable for use in automatic crimping processes.
