The RBO40-40G-TR is a surface mount TVS diode from STMicroelectronics, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It features a Zener technology clamping voltage of 40V and can handle peak pulse currents of 20A and 37.5A.
With a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500W (1.5kW), this diode provides robust protection for general purpose applications. It supports both unidirectional and bidirectional operation with one channel each.
Housed in the TO-263-3 / D2PAK package, it is suitable for automated assembly and surface mount manufacturing processes. The device operates reliably over a junction temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.
