The Microchip Technology QT1081-ISG is an 8-key QTouch sensor IC, an improved and lower-cost version of the QT1080. It utilizes patented spread-spectrum charge-transfer technology for robust, stable, and EMC-resistant capacitive sensing.
This sensor IC supports 1 to 8 keys with selectable sensitivity. It features self-calibration, auto drift compensation, noise filtering, and patented Adjacent Key Suppression. The operating voltage ranges from 2.8V to 5V, with a low power consumption of less than 15µA. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
The QT1081-ISG is available in a 32-pin QFN package (5x5mm) and is suitable for surface mounting. It is compatible with various substrates like FR-4, FPCB, PET films, and glass, and can use electrode materials such as copper, silver, carbon, and ITO. Panel materials can include plastic, glass, composites, and painted surfaces, with panel thicknesses up to 50mm for glass and 20mm for plastic.
