The QT1080-IS48G by QUANTUM is an 8-key QTouch sensor integrated circuit designed for capacitive touch sensing applications. This IC offers flexible Adjacent Key Suppression (AKS) functionality, which can operate globally across all keys, allowing only one key to be active at a time, or in groups, enabling up to two keys to be active simultaneously. The device supports a maximum on-duration of 60 seconds, with configurable settings for recalibration timeouts.
Key electrical features include direct push-pull active high outputs and an LP mode with approximately 200ms response time. The internal oscillator can be configured for spread spectrum operation using an external resistor network or a solitary 18KΩ resistor for non-spread spectrum applications, aiming for approximately 2µs positive pulse width.
This sensor IC is suitable for various human-machine interface designs where reliable touch detection is required. Its configurable AKS modes and adjustable on-duration settings allow for optimization in different application environments. The device is categorized under Integrated Circuits (ICs) within the Interface and Sensor, Capacitive Touch subcategories.
The QT1080-IS48G supports two AKS modes: Global, where only one key can be active at a time, and Groups, where keys are divided into two groups of four, allowing up to two keys to be active simultaneously.
The maximum on-duration for a key press is 60 seconds.
The response time in LP mode is approximately 200ms.
The QT1080-IS48G features push-pull, active high, direct outputs.
The available settings for Max On-Duration recalibration timeouts are 10 seconds, 60 seconds, and infinite.
