The Vicor QPI-6LZ-01 QUIETPOWER® active EMI filter is engineered for 48 Vdc bus applications, operating within a 36-76 Vdc range with a 100 Vdc surge capability. This SIP (System-in-Package) device effectively attenuates conducted common-mode (CM) and differential-mode (DM) noise across the CISPR22 frequency range of 150 kHz to 30 MHz.
With a 14A rating, the QPI-6LZ-01 supports multiple DC-DC converter loads up to an ambient temperature of 65°C without de-rating. It offers significant CM attenuation of 40 dB at 250 KHz and DM attenuation of 80 dB at 250 KHz. The filter is designed to meet EN55022 Class B limits and supports the PICMG® 3.0 specification, making it suitable for telecom and ITE bus ranges.
Compared to passive solutions, the active filtering technology reduces the common-mode choke volume, resulting in a low-profile, surface-mount device. This saves valuable board real estate and enhances airflow in blade applications. The QPI-6LZ-01 is available in a lidded or open-frame SiP with LGA mounting. It operates across a wide ambient temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and boasts an efficiency greater than 99%.
Key features include a 1,500 Vdc hipot hold off to the shield plane and a compact footprint. The lidded SiP measures 25.3 x 25.3 x 5.0 mm, while the open-frame SiP is 24.9 x 24.9 x 4.4 mm. This filter is TÜV Certified.
The continuous maximum input voltage is 80 Vdc. It can withstand 100 Vdc for up to 100 ms.
It is offered in a surface-mount LGA package with two variants: a lidded SiP measuring 25.3 x 25.3 x 5.0 mm and an open-frame SiP measuring 24.9 x 24.9 x 4.4 mm.
The operating temperature range is -40 to +125 °C.
The continuous current rating is 14 A at 25 °C. It can handle 20 A for up to 10 seconds at 25 °C.
The efficiency is greater than 99%.
Common-mode attenuation is 40 dB at 250 kHz (50 Ω).
Yes, it can withstand a 100 Vdc surge for 100 ms.
