The Vicor QPI-3LZ-01 is an active EMI filter module designed to attenuate conducted common-mode (CM) and differential-mode (DM) noise. It operates within a broad input voltage range of 5.0 to 80V and can handle currents up to 7A. This filter provides 40dB of common-mode attenuation at a test frequency of 1000kHz and features a HIPOT rating of 1500V.
Utilizing proprietary active-filtering circuitry, the QPI family offers superior attenuation, particularly at low frequencies, supporting standards like EN Class B and PICMG 3.0 for ATCA boards. Compared to passive solutions, active filtering allows for a smaller, low-profile common-mode choke, resulting in a compact surface-mount device. The QPI-3LZ-01 comes in an open frame package, saving valuable board space and enhancing airflow in dense applications like blade servers.
This filter is suitable for use with DC-DC converters, helping to meet stringent EMI requirements in various electronic systems. Its design contributes to a cleaner power delivery network, essential for reliable operation in demanding environments.
