The Vicor QPI-21LZ is an active EMI filter module designed to attenuate conducted common-mode (CM) and differential-mode (DM) noise. It operates within the CISPR22 frequency range of 150 kHz to 30 MHz and is suitable for 48 Vdc bus systems (36 – 76 Vdc) with a 100 Vdc surge capability.
This module features a 14 A rating, supporting multiple DC-DC converter loads up to an ambient temperature of 65°C without de-rating. It is designed for telecom and ITE bus applications and supports the PICMG® 3.0 specification for filtering system boards to EN55022 Class B limits. The active filtering technology reduces component size compared to passive solutions, saving valuable board real estate.
The QPI-21LZ is available in both lidded and open-frame SiP (System-in-Package) formats with LGA mounting. It offers high attenuation, with 45 dB CM and 80 dB DM attenuation at 250 KHz (50 Ω). The operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C, and it boasts an efficiency greater than 99%.
Key features include a low-profile LGA package, 1,500 Vdc hipot hold off to the shield plane, and approval to UL/CSA 60950-1 and EN 60950-1 standards. It is also CE marked to the LVD and RoHS Recast Directive as applicable.
The QPI-21LZ operates with an input voltage range of 36 to 76 Vdc, with a maximum non-destructive input of 80 Vdc and surge capability up to 100 Vdc for 100 ms.
The QPI-21LZ is available in both Lidded SiP and Open-frame SiP packages, both with LGA mounting.
The operating ambient temperature range is -40°C to +125°C, with no de-rating required up to 65°C.
The QPI-21LZ has a nominal current rating of 14 A up to 65°C ambient without de-rating.
The efficiency is greater than 99%.
It provides minimum 45 dB common-mode attenuation and 80 dB differential-mode attenuation at 250 KHz (50 Ω).
