The Vicor QPI-12LZ-01 is an input EMI filter module from the QPI family, designed to attenuate conducted common-mode (CM) and differential-mode (DM) noise. It operates over an input voltage range of 5.0 V to 80 V and can handle currents up to 7 A. The filter provides 40 dB of common-mode attenuation at a test frequency of 1000 kHz and has a HIPOT rating of 1500 V.
This active EMI filter utilizes a proprietary circuit to offer superior attenuation, particularly at lower frequencies, supporting limits like EN Class B. Compared to passive filters, the active filtering approach reduces the size of the common-mode choke, resulting in a low-profile, surface-mount device. This space-saving design is beneficial for board real estate and enhances airflow in applications like blade servers.
The QPI-12LZ-01 is suitable for use with Vicor V-I Chip™ DC DC Converters. It is housed in an LGA package and is designed for surface-mount applications. The module is RoHS3 compliant, has an MSL of 1, and is REACH unaffected.
