The PVC212 is a polyester film/foil capacitor from Cornell Dubilier Electronics (CDE), part of the Type PVC series. It offers a capacitance of 0.02 µF with a tolerance of ±10% and a DC voltage rating of 200 V. The dielectric material is polyester, suitable for general purpose applications.
Electrical characteristics include a maximum dissipation factor of 0.75% at +25°C, a minimum insulation resistance of 100,000 MΩ after 2 minutes at rated voltage, and a dielectric withstand voltage of 250% of rated voltage for 5 seconds. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C.
The capacitor is packaged in a radial through-hole configuration with PC pin terminations. The lead spacing is 12.70 mm, and the dimensions are 0.331" diameter by 0.701" length (8.40 mm x 17.80 mm). The epoxy case material is flame retardant (UL94V-0) and RoHS compliant.
This capacitor is designed for bypass and coupling applications, leveraging extended foil construction for low dissipation factor and high current capability. It is non-inductively wound and non-polar, with crimped leads for secure PC board insertion.
