PT7C4512WEX

The Diodes Incorporated PT7C4512WEX is a cost-effective PLL clock multiplier that generates high-quality, high-frequency clock outputs from lower frequency crystal or clock inputs. It is designed to replace crystal oscillators in electronic systems, offering low output jitter.

This device supports input crystal frequencies ranging from 5 MHz to 40 MHz and input clock frequencies from 4 MHz to 50 MHz. It can produce output clock frequencies up to 200 MHz, with low period jitter of 80 ps at 100-200 MHz. The duty cycle is typically 45/55% for output clocks up to 160 MHz.

Featuring 9 selectable frequencies controlled by S0 and S1 pins, the PT7C4512WEX operates over a voltage range of 3.0V to 5.5V. It is housed in a lead-free SOIC-8 package, suitable for surface mount applications.

This clock multiplier implements a standard fundamental mode using PLL techniques and an inexpensive crystal. The internal logic divider generates nine different popular multiplication factors, allowing one chip to output many common frequencies.
