The PT5103N is a member of the PT5100 series of economical, easy-to-use 1A positive step-down integrated switching regulators (ISRs) from Texas Instruments. It provides a fixed 3.3V output from an input voltage range of 9V to 26V, delivering up to 1A of output current (3W).
With a typical efficiency of 82% at full load and room temperature, the PT5103N offers significant improvements in efficiency and power dissipation compared to linear regulators. It features laser-trimmed output voltage accuracy of ±1%, excellent line and load regulation of ±5mV, and a switching frequency between 575kHz and 875kHz.
The device includes output current limiting (1.2A min, 2.6A typ) and thermal shutdown protection. It is housed in a through-hole 3-SIP module measuring 25.4mm x 9.7mm x 25.9mm, making it pin-compatible with many TO-220 style linear regulators.
