The PT4841A from Texas Instruments is part of the Excalibur™ series of isolated triple-output DC-DC converters. Designed to operate from a standard -48V central office supply, it is rated for up to 65W and is suitable for powering analog and mixed-signal circuitry, such as chip-sets for ADSL/DSL line cards.
This module offers independently regulated outputs of +15V, +3.3V, and +1.5V. Key electrical features include an input voltage range of 36V to 75V, 1500VDC isolation, and an efficiency of 85%. It incorporates features like On/Off control, current limit, short circuit protection on all outputs, over-temperature shutdown, and input under-voltage lockout.
The PT4841A is housed in a space-saving solderable case, requiring no external heat sink and occupying minimal PCB area. It is designed for through-hole mounting with a right-angle orientation. The module is suitable for ITE (Commercial) applications.
