The PT3405A is a 48V input isolated DC-DC converter from Texas Instruments' PT3400 series. It delivers a regulated 1.4V output at up to 16A, with a typical efficiency of 90%. The module provides 1500VDC input-to-output isolation, making it suitable for telecom, industrial, and other distributed power applications requiring galvanic isolation.
Key features include differential remote sense for accurate load regulation, output voltage adjustment, over-current protection, and input under-voltage lockout. The SEQ pin enables power-up sequencing between two PT3400 modules, simplifying multi-voltage designs for DSP and ASIC applications.
The converter is housed in a low-profile 14-SIP module with through-hole, right-angle mounting. It operates over a -40°C to 85°C temperature range. The solderable copper case provides effective heat dissipation and space-saving design.
