The PSOT12C is a bidirectional TVS diode designed for ESD protection and transient voltage suppression. It is part of Diotec Semiconductor's PSOTxxC series of dual common anode ESD protection diodes.
With a reverse standoff voltage of 12V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 13.3V at 1mA, it clamps transients to a maximum of 28V at 14A peak pulse current (8/20µs waveform). The device can handle 500W peak pulse power and provides ESD protection up to ±15kV air discharge and ±8kV contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2.
The PSOT12C is housed in a surface-mount SOT-23-3 (TO-236) package, weighing approximately 0.01g. It is supplied on 7-inch reels of 3000 pieces. The case material is UL 94V-0 rated, and it is compatible with standard soldering conditions up to 260°C for 10 seconds.
Typical applications include ESD protection for data lines and I/O ports in commercial and industrial equipment. The device is RoHS3 compliant (without exemptions), REACH compliant, and conflict minerals compliant. It has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited floor life).
