PCE-ACA 50 Description

Short technical summary and product information.
The Material Tester is mainly used to determine the ash content of plastics. The device can intelligently control time and temperature in the individual sections of the heating process. It is suitable for determining the ash content in polyethylene, polypropylene and polybutene plastics. The ash content of plastic samples (plastics, plastic composites) is accessible as a mass or mass fraction after direct annealing of the sample. The sample is burnt by the Material Tester at high temperatures. Subsequent annealing ensures that the combustion residue has been completely converted into ash that cannot be burnt any further. The Material Tester supports tests in accordance with the international standards ISO 3451 and GB/T9345.1-2008. Equipped with a modern 8-inch capacitive touch screen, the Material Tester enables intuitive operation and a clear display of the measurement results. The cylindrical heating chamber ensures an even distribution of the temperature, which leads to particularly accurate measurements. Thanks to the programmable temperature control, the heating process can be flexibly adapted to the specific requirements of the respective test. A high-temperature heating rod ensures that the required temperatures are reached quickly and kept constant. In addition, the heating time is shown on the display of the Material Tester, which enables precise monitoring of the entire process and helps the user to maintain complete control of the test procedure at all times. The Material Tester is ideal for plastics processing, scientific research departments of manufacturing companies and universities. A high ash content can indicate impurities or unwanted materials that have entered the plastic during production. During the recycling process of plastics, the ash content is measured to determine the purity of the recycled material and ensure that it is suitable for further use.
