The PJ-005B is a panel mount DC power jack manufactured by CUI Devices (now Same Sky). It features a 2.5mm center pin diameter with industry-standard 2.50mm ID and 5.50mm OD mating dimensions. The jack is rated for 24Vdc input voltage and 5A continuous current. Electrical specifications include a contact resistance of 30 mΩ maximum, insulation resistance of 100 MΩ minimum at 500Vdc, and dielectric withstand voltage of 500Vac for 1 minute.
The mechanical design supports panel mounting with a front-side nut and includes the mounting hardware. Termination is via solder eyelets. The jack offers a mating cycle life of 5000 cycles minimum and an insertion/withdrawal force range of 0.3 to 3 kg. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 70°C.
The center pin is brass with nickel plating; terminals 1, 2, and 3 are brass or phosphor bronze with silver plating. The insulator is red vulcanized fiber and the plastic housing is PBT with UL94V-0 flammability rating (insulator UL94HB). The connector is unshielded with a single normally closed internal switch.
