PI90LV179WEX

The PI90LV179WEX from Pericom Semiconductor Corporation is a high-speed differential line driver and receiver (transceiver) compliant with IEEE 1596.3 SCI and ANSI/TIA/EIA-644 LVDS standards. It utilizes low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) to achieve data rates exceeding 660 Mbps, offering superior noise immunity compared to single-ended transmission.

This device operates from a single 3.3V power supply. The driver translates TTL/CMOS inputs to a low-voltage differential output signal (350mV typical), while the receiver converts a differential input signal (±50mV minimum) to a 3V CMOS output. Key electrical features include a driver propagation delay of 1.5ns typical and a receiver propagation delay of 3.3ns typical. The inputs are 5V tolerant LVTTL.

Designed for point-to-point and multidrop baseband data transmission over controlled impedance media (approximately 100 ohms), the PI90LV179WEX is suitable for intra-system connections via PCB traces or cables, hubs, routers, PBXs, switches, repeaters, and base stations. It also finds applications in digital cameras, printers, and copiers.
