PI7C9X2G304SLBFDEX Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The PI7C9X2G304SLBFDEX from Diodes Incorporated is a high-performance, cost-effective PCI Express 2.1 packet switch. It is designed to meet low-power, lead-free, and green system requirements, making it suitable for embedded systems, routers, printers, storage devices, and other power-sensitive platforms.

This packet switch features non-blocking full-wired switching capability up to 32 Gbps when all 4 lanes are enabled. It includes an integrated 100MHz clock buffer for each downstream port and supports advanced features like Data Poisoning, End-to-End CRC, and IEEE 1149.6 JTAG interface. Link and device state power management are supported, including L0s, L1, D3 Hot, and D3Cold states, with 3.3V auxiliary power support in D3 Cold.

The device supports up to a 256-byte maximum payload size and offers programmable driver current and de-emphasis levels at each port. It operates with a typical latency of 150ns for non-blocking packet transfer and supports both 'Cut-through' and 'Store and Forward' switching modes. Power dissipation is typically 0.72W in L0 normal mode and 0.2W in L1 mode.

Packaged in a 128-pin LQFP (14mm x 14mm) with an exposed pad, the PI7C9X2G304SLBFDEX is designed for surface mounting. It operates within an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is Pb-free and 100% Green.
