The DIODES™ PI4MSD5V9548A is an octal bidirectional translating switch controlled via the I2C bus. The SCL/SDA upstream pair fans out to eight downstream pairs, or channels. Any individual SCx/SDx channel or combination of channels can be selected, determined by the contents of the programmable control register. An active LOW reset input allows the PI4MSD5V9548A to recover from a situation where one of the downstream buses is stuck in a LOW state.

 

This I2C bus switch supports a wide operating power supply voltage from 1.65V to 5.5V, enabling voltage level translation between 1.2V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V buses. It features low standby current and low Ron switches. The device operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and supports hot insertion.

 

Available in a 24-pin TSSOP package, the PI4MSD5V9548A offers 5V tolerant inputs and a clock frequency up to 400 kHz. ESD protection exceeds 8000V HBM and 1000V CDM. Latch-up testing is performed to JEDEC Standard JESD78, exceeding 100 mA. The component is Totally Lead-Free & Fully RoHS Compliant and Halogen and Antimony Free.
