The Diodes Incorporated PI3EQX7841ZDEX is a low-power, high-performance signal ReDriver specifically designed for the USB 3.0 protocol. This 1-channel device operates at 5.0 Gbps and supports programmable equalization, de-emphasis, and output swings to optimize performance over various physical mediums by reducing Inter-Symbol Interference.
It features two 5.0Gbps differential CML data I/Os, suitable for connecting between a Protocol ASIC and a switch fabric, over cable, or extending signals across distant data pathways. The integrated equalization circuitry enhances signal integrity before the ReDriver. The device includes input signal level detection and output squelch functions for each channel.
When I2C control mode is enabled, equalization, output swing, and de-emphasis settings can be adjusted by programming the related registers. The PI3EQX7841ZDEX supports automatic receiver detection and enters a low-power standby mode when enabled. It is housed in a compact 20-TQFN (4x4mm) package and supports an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
