This module accepts an 85-265Vac input and converts it to a 375Vdc output, suitable for powering isolated DC-DC post converters. It features near unity power factor and very low harmonic distortion, meeting EN61000-3-2 requirements. The design utilizes a boost converter with a solid-state series switch for active inrush and short circuit current limiting.

 

Operational features include high efficiencies, extremely low thermal resistance, and a baseplate operating temperature range of -40 to 100°C. It provides a Power Fail Warning via a DC OK Signal and an Auxiliary (housekeeping) Supply Output (Vaux). The Load Enable Signal controls downstream converters. Safety agency approvals to UL/cUL 60950 are pending, and it comes with a two-year warranty.

 

The PFC600-LF has an output power capability of 600W, derating linearly from 600W at 105Vac to 400W at 85Vac. The output voltage is typically 375Vdc, with a current limit inception at 1.8A. Efficiency is rated at 91% at 120Vac and 94% at 220Vac. Input voltage range is 85-265Vac with a frequency range of 47-65Hz. It also includes input-to-case isolation of 2500Vdc.
