The Bel Power Solutions PET800-12-074RD is an 800 Watt DC to DC power supply that converts -40 to -72 VDC into an insulated +12 VDC output. This front-end power supply is engineered for intermediate bus architectures (IBA) in demanding applications such as high-performance and reliability servers, routers, and network switches.

Utilizing a digital control architecture and a forward converter topology with active clamp and synchronous rectification, the PET800-12-074xD achieves high efficiency up to 94% at 50% load. It features a wide input voltage range of -40 to -72 VDC, ensuring power availability in challenging environments. The unit provides an always-on 24W standby output and supports hot-plug capability and parallel operation with active current sharing for enhanced system reliability.

Key features include digital controls for improved performance, a high-density design of 25 W/in3, and a small form factor measuring 73.5 x 39.0 x 185 mm. It incorporates over-temperature, output over-voltage, and over-current protection.
