The PDS540-13 is a Schottky barrier rectifier from Diodes Incorporated, rated for 40V reverse voltage and 5A average rectified current. It is designed for high-efficiency low-voltage applications. Electrical characteristics include a low forward voltage drop of 520 mV at 5A, fast switching speed (recovery time <500 ns), and a high non-repetitive surge current of 150A. Guard ring die construction provides transient protection. The device is offered in a surface-mount PowerDI 5 package with matte tin finish over copper leadframe, available in tape and reel packaging of 5000 units. Moisture sensitivity level is 1 per J-STD-020, and operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C. The PDS540-13 is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, halogen and antimony free, and qualified to AEC-Q101 standards for high reliability. It is suitable for low-voltage high-frequency inverters, freewheeling diodes, and polarity protection.
