The PDS3100-13 is a 3A high voltage Schottky barrier rectifier from Diodes Incorporated, designed for high efficiency and low power loss. It features a low forward voltage drop of 760mV typical at 3A and a high forward surge current capability of 90A peak. The device is housed in a compact PowerDI5 surface mount package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs.
Key electrical specifications include a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 100V, an average rectified current of 3A, and an operating temperature range of -65°C to 150°C. The rectifier offers fast switching performance inherent to Schottky technology, with low reverse leakage and guard ring die construction for transient protection.
This component is qualified to AEC-Q101 standards for high reliability automotive applications and is fully RoHS compliant with a lead-free finish. It is also halogen and antimony free, making it a green device suitable for environmentally sensitive designs. The PowerDI5 package provides excellent thermal performance with a junction-to-soldering point thermal resistance of 6.0°C/W.
Typical applications include high frequency rectification in power supplies, DC-DC converters, freewheeling diodes, polarity protection, and output rectification. The 5000-piece tape and reel packaging facilitates automated assembly.
