The PDS1040-13 is a Schottky barrier rectifier designed for low voltage, high frequency applications. It has a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 40V and an average rectified current of 10A. The forward voltage is typically 0.51V at 10A, ensuring low power loss. The device can handle a non-repetitive surge current of up to 275A. Reverse recovery time is ≤500 ns, suitable for fast switching.
This rectifier is housed in a PowerDI 5 surface-mount package, which provides excellent thermal performance with a junction-to-soldering point thermal resistance of 1.5 °C/W. The package is RoHS compliant and Halogen free. Operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
Typical applications include freewheeling diodes, polarity protection, and output rectification in low voltage power supplies. The device is also available in an automotive qualified version (PDS1040Q-13).
