This rectifier boasts a low forward drop of only 192 mV at 0.6 A, significantly outperforming standard diode bridges. It supports currents over 2 A and is designed for IEEE 802.3bt (Type 3 and Type 4), IEEE 802.3at, and IEEE 802.3af standards, as well as legacy standards like UPoE (60 W) and POH (95 W).

 

The PD70224 includes on-chip drive circuitry for the MOSFETs, including a charge pump for high-side N-channel MOSFETs. It also features "Power present" indicator signals for identifying 4-pair bridge power and a dedicated pin for adapter priority. The device operates over a wide voltage range up to 57 V and has a low leakage current of less than 10 μA during detection.

 

Available in a 40-pin QFN package, the PD70224ILQ-TR is suitable for surface mounting. Its operating temperature range is -40 °C to 85 °C, making it a robust choice for demanding PoE applications.
