The PD3S140-7 is a 1.0A surface mount Schottky barrier rectifier from Diodes Incorporated, designed for applications requiring low forward voltage and fast switching. It features a maximum reverse voltage of 40V and a forward voltage drop of only 550mV at 1A, minimizing power loss. The device incorporates guard ring die construction for transient protection and high surge capability.
The rectifier is housed in a compact PowerDI 323 surface mount package with matte tin plated terminals, making it suitable for automated assembly. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen and antimony free (green device), and rated MSL Level 1 per J-STD-020. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
Typical applications include polarity protection, recirculating diodes in inductive loads, and low-voltage switching circuits. The part is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3,000 pieces per reel.
