The Texas Instruments PCM6240QRTVRQ1 is a high-performance, 4-channel automotive audio Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) designed for demanding applications. It supports analog input signals up to 10 VRMS and offers a line differential input dynamic range of 110 dB, with a THD+N of -95 dB.
This ADC operates with a sample rate from 8 kHz to 768 kHz and provides programmable channel settings, including gain from 0 dB to 42 dB and digital volume control from -100 dB to 27 dB. It features an I2C or SPI control interface and supports TDM, I2S, or left-justified (LJ) audio serial data formats with word lengths of 16, 20, 24, or 32 bits.
The PCM6240QRTVRQ1 includes integrated programmable microphone bias (5 V to 9 V) with an efficient boost converter and input fault diagnostics for open inputs, shorts to ground, MICBIAS, or VBAT, and over-current protection. It is AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications, operating within a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
