The Texas Instruments PCF8574ADWR is an 8-bit remote I/O expander that utilizes the I2C bus for communication. It is designed for operation with a VCC range of 2.5V to 6V and supports a clock frequency of up to 100 kHz.
This device features an 8-bit quasi-bidirectional I/O port (P0–P7) that can function as either inputs or outputs without requiring a separate data-direction control signal.
