The NXP Semiconductors PCA9633DP1,118 is a 4-bit LED driver optimized for applications requiring precise Red/Green/Blue/Amber (RGBA) color mixing. Each of its four LED outputs is equipped with an 8-bit resolution Individual PWM controller operating at 97 kHz, allowing for duty cycle adjustments from 0% to 99.6% for specific brightness levels.
A fifth 8-bit Group PWM controller is also included, offering a fixed frequency of 190 Hz or an adjustable frequency from 24 Hz up to once every 10.73 seconds. This group controller allows for simultaneous dimming or blinking of all LEDs with adjustable duty cycles.
The device operates with a supply voltage range of 2.3 V to 5.5 V, and its outputs are 5.5 V tolerant. The LED output driver can be configured as either open-drain with a 25 mA current sink capability at 5 V, or as a totem pole with 25 mA sink and 10 mA source capability at 5 V.
