The Texas Instruments PCA9515ADGKR is an active dual bidirectional I2C buffer and SMBus repeater. This integrated circuit is designed to extend I2C and similar bus systems without degrading performance. It buffers both the serial data (SDA) and serial clock (SCL) signals, retaining all operating modes and features of the I2C system.
This device supports a supply voltage range of 2.3V to 3.6V and operates at a maximum frequency of 400kHz. It features two identical bidirectional open-drain buffer circuits, enabling two buses with up to 400pF bus capacitance to be connected in an I2C application. The PCA9515ADGKR is suitable for mixed-mode signal operation and is lockup-free.
The PCA9515ADGKR is supplied in an 8-VSSOP package and is designed for surface mount applications. It offers ESD protection exceeding 2000V (HBM), 200V (MM), and 1000V (CDM). The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
