The Vishay Dale P6SMB51A-E3/52 is a surface-mount Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode from the P6SMB series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting.
This device features a 600W peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000 μs waveform and a clamping voltage of 70.1V. It has a working voltage range starting from 5.8V and a breakdown voltage as low as 6.8V. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C (TJ).
Packaged in a DO-214AA (SMB) case, this TVS diode is ideal for automated placement. It is suitable for general-purpose applications, providing excellent clamping capability and very fast response times. The device meets MSL level 1 requirements.
Key electrical characteristics include a peak surge current of 100A for an 8.3 ms single half sine-wave and a power dissipation of 5W on an infinite heatsink at 50°C. The P6SMB51A-E3/52 is available in unidirectional configurations.
