The Vishay P6SMB27A-E3/52 is a 600W surface-mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from the P6SMB series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lightning. This unidirectional device offers a reverse standoff voltage of 23.1V and a clamping voltage of 37.5V at a peak pulse current of 16A (10/1000μs waveform).
The device features a glass passivated chip junction for reliability and very fast response time. It is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) package with matte tin plated gull wing leads, suitable for automated placement. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
Typical applications include protection of ICs, MOSFETs, and signal lines in consumer, computer, industrial, and telecommunication equipment. The part is RoHS3 compliant and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020.
