The P6SMB18CA is a 600W bi-directional TVS diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. Key specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 15.3V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 17.1V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 25.5V at a peak pulse current of 24.2A (10/1000µs waveform). The device offers 600W peak pulse power capability and excellent clamping performance.
This TVS diode is ideal for general purpose protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications. It features a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to VBR min, low incremental surge resistance, and typical IR less than 1µA when VBR min>12V.
The P6SMB18CA is housed in a surface mount DO-214AA (SMB) package with a low profile for minimal PCB space impact. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and is compliant with MSL level 1 (unlimited) per J-STD-020. The device is halogen free, RoHS compliant, and features matte tin lead-free plated terminals (Pb-free E3). It is also UL recognized to ANSI/UL 497B for data communications and fire-alarm circuit protectors.
