The P6SMB170A from Littelfuse is a 600W unidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 170V and a clamping voltage of 234V, with a peak pulse current rating of 2.6A under 10/1000μs waveform.
Key features include an ultra-fast response time of less than 1.0 ps, ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2, and a wide operating temperature range from -65°C to 150°C. The device is RoHS compliant, lead-free, and halogen-free, with an MSL level 1 rating.
This TVS diode is housed in a compact DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package, suitable for automated assembly. It is ideal for applications such as I/O interfaces, VCC bus protection, and general purpose transient voltage suppression in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
