The P6SMB12CA is a 600W bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It offers a clamping voltage of 16.7V and can handle peak pulse currents up to 36.5A under a 10/1000μs waveform. The device uses Zener technology for fast response and low incremental surge resistance.
This TVS diode is ideal for general purpose applications such as I/O interface, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. It is rated for operation from -55°C to 150°C and is housed in a surface mount DO-214AA (SMB) package, which minimizes PCB space.
The P6SMB12CA is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and lead-free (Pb-free E3). It meets MSL level 1 and has a UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. The termination finish is matte tin (Sn).
