The P6KE82A is a 600W unidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 70.1V and a maximum clamping voltage of 113V at 5.3A peak pulse current (10/1000μs waveform).
The device offers a typical response time of less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, ensuring rapid protection. It is rated for 30kV ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2 (air and contact discharge). The glass passivated chip junction in a DO-15 axial package provides reliable operation over a wide temperature range of -55°C to 175°C.
This TVS diode is suitable for general-purpose applications including I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The package is through-hole mount with axial leads, compatible with high-temperature reflow soldering up to 260°C.
