The P6KE6.8A is a 600W unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 5.8V and a maximum clamping voltage of 10.5V at a peak pulse current of 58.1A (10/1000µs waveform). The device utilizes Zener technology with a glass passivated chip junction for reliable surge protection.
The diode offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 600W and a steady state power dissipation of 5.0W. It can handle a peak forward surge current of 100A (8.3ms). With a fast response time of less than 1.0ps, it provides effective clamping of fast transients. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C, and it meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection standards of 30kV air and contact.
Packaged in a DO-204AC (DO-15) axial leaded case with through-hole mounting, the P6KE6.8A is suitable for general purpose applications. It is RoHS compliant and lead-free (Pb-free E3 finish). The device is designed for use in I/O interfaces, VCC bus protection, telecom, computer, industrial and consumer electronics.
