The P6KE56CA is a bidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc., designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 47.8V and a clamping voltage of 77V at a peak pulse current of 7.9A (10/1000μs waveform). The device offers 600W peak pulse power dissipation for single die parts and 800W for stacked die parts.
This TVS diode has a fast response time of less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage minimum. It provides ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact discharge) per IEC 61000-4-2. The device is housed in a DO-204AC (DO-15) through-hole package with axial leads and matte tin terminal finish.
The P6KE56CA operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. Typical thermal resistance is 20°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient.
